The University of Saint Mary has established itself as one of the tops schools in the Midwest, largely due to their healthcare and science programs. The same can be said about the school's online programs, it is one of the best online schools for earning a degree in nursing or healthcare. One reason their healthcare and science degrees are so well respected is because of the emphasis the University of Saint Mary puts on liberal arts. With a liberal arts background in any field, students gain a better all-around perspective, something that be helpful for advancing through future careers. Online degrees are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and while many students study toward a nursing or healthcare degree, a master's in business administration is also available.
A big reason for the growth in online education is demand. Online college programs make college more accessible to a much larger population than traditional on-campus learning. Thanks to technology, you can earn an online associate degree, online bachelor's degree or online master's degree without having to sacrifice your job or time caring for your family.
"I was in a panic when I joined online counseling because I needed someone to talk to me and tell me they are there. Few minutes later, Mary came through. I typed out my worries and problems and we got right to it. Mary offered a lot of insight and hit the nail on the head as what was going on. Mary has helped me see things that my anxiety wasn't letting me. I'm thankful for Mary and the time she takes to answer my questions and encourages me to keep moving forward. I don't regret joining better help."

Many, though not all, of the private schools offering online programs are religious schools. Some of these schools incorporate scripture into their online program, though others do not, and have no religious requirements for distance learners. Private non-profit schools are often more expensive than other four-year options, so be sure to do your research and find a school that fits with your budget.

The school's course equivalencies database allows students to determine which courses will transfer into each program. BS degree programs can be earned in career and technical education, child development, communication studies, communication-advertising, elementary education, middle grades education, and special education. The school offers a 122-credit BSBA in management with 52 credits taught at the school and a minimum of 70 transferable credit hours. Most full-time students can earn a online bachelor's degree in four years. If you have a high school diploma or some college credits to your name, an online bachelor's program may be the right choice for you. Some colleges even offer degree completion programs specifically for students who have earned an associate degree and would like to finish a bachelor's program. A bachelor's degree is perhaps the single best way to increase your earning potential. According to PayScale.com, employes with a bachelor's degree can earn over $1,000,000 more over a 20-year career than someone with just a high school diploma. Most entry-level positions at professional organizations require at least a four-year degree. Business, healthcare, tech and other sectors prefer to hire candidates who are well-rounded and have good critical thinking and communication skills. An online bachelor's degree provides students with all of these skills, making them desirable to employers.

When it comes to what employers want to see in a resume, you may be surprised. Certainly they want to see the standard bits of information, such as education, job history, and training. But what they’re really looking for is a means by which to determine if you’re the right hire for the job. This means they’re also looking at information such as results, relevance, signs of motivation, and an indication that you have a genuine interest in the company and position.
Like classroom learners, online students need to be motivated. Beyond the desire to learn you need to be self-disciplined, have good time management skills, and be comfortable in an environment where it's just you and your computer. You need to be proactive and access the course frequently so you stay on top of the work. You’ll also need to be at ease communicating and interacting with other people without face-to-face contact.
Let’s face it: In traditional classroom environments, many students feel like round pegs trying to fit into square holes. “A lot of students have difficulty engaging in an on-ground class because of class size, intimidation, reluctance to sound ‘dumb’ in a live setting, or many other reasons. An online class is great for people who are shy, or reticent to speak or simply need more time to collect their thoughts,” says ClearDegree’s Leatherwood.
The school's options for business administration degrees are particularly extensive; students may choose from degree concentrations in 16 different fields, including digital marketing and advertising, entrepreneurship, financial planning, green and sustainable management, marketing analytics and project management. A total of 24 online minors are also available to undergraduates, four of which are focused on Christian studies. According to a report from the Society of Human Resource Management, more than half of private organizations offer tuition reimbursement plans to employees who wish to earn a postsecondary degree or certificate. These plans are mutually beneficial. Employees who receive assistance can offset some of the out-of-pocket costs for their education, and employers strengthen their workforce with workers who have advanced training in their field. However, tuition reimbursement will not cover all of the student's expenses. The average organization reimburses roughly $4,600 in tuition expenses per year. Additionally, the employee may be required to work for the organization for a certain length of time after they have received their degree or certificate.

Digital media[36] pose many challenges to current copyright and intellectual property laws.[37] The ease of creating, modifying and sharing digital media makes copyright enforcement a challenge, and copyright laws are widely seen as outdated.[38][39] For example, under current copyright law, common Internet memes are probably illegal to share in many countries.[40] Legal rights are at least unclear for many common Internet activities, such as posting a picture that belongs to someone else to a social media account, covering a popular song on a YouTube video, or writing fanfiction. Over the last decade the concept of fair use has been applied to many online medias.
