In the doctoral dissertation, and then later in The Journal of Professional Counseling, Dr. Anthony Centore, states the following about online services: “Since the beginning, mental health counseling practices have endured many theoretical shifts—from Freudian, to Jungian, to Rogerian, and so on. However, a recent shift concerns not therapeutic theory but the medium through which counseling is provided. While historically counseling relationships have developed through scheduled in-person communications between counselor and client, telephone and online technologies now offer new paths for the formation of those healing relationships.”
While some form of tele-psychology has been available for over 35 years,[2] the advent of internet video chat systems and the increasing penetration of broadband has resulted in a growing movement towards online therapy. Many of the methods used to facilitate online therapy sessions include a multimedia access platform such as TalkSpace, BetterHelp, and 7 Cups Online Therapy. Both of which enable users to receive initial treatment and therapy in a safe and discreet manner. Clients are using videoconferencing, live chat and email with professional psychologists in place of or in addition to face-to-face meetings.[2]

Even if you’re applying for a job that doesn’t specify an educational requirement, be sure to list all of your degrees and relevant diplomas or certificates, starting with the highest degree you’ve earned. You do not need to include the year you graduated unless you are still taking classes, in which case you should share your anticipated graduation date and your current GPA:
Hands-on experience is one of the hallmarks of learning at the University of Arizona. All students have the opportunity to participate in fieldwork internships and student leadership. The school is transfer-friendly, and the Transfer Credit Guide -- while not a complete list of all transferable courses -- gives students an idea of which courses transfer to the University of Arizona. The school charges the same tuition for online learners regardless of in-state or out-of-state residency.
Courses are taught asynchronously, some with varying start dates throughout the year. Many of the school’s online degree programs give students the option to complete their degree in an accelerated timeframe. Additionally, the school allows students to transfer up to 90 credits from a regionally accredited institution. Support services include free tutoring through Smarthinking, a writing center, and academic success workshops. Whether studying on campus or online, students at Regis University are taught by faculty who incorporate real-world experience into the classroom curriculum.

Northeastern currently offers 10 online bachelor's degrees for distance learners. Three management-related bachelor's degrees are offered -- general management, finance and accounting management and health management -- as well as a leadership degree. Other undergraduate degrees are available in human services, information technology, liberal studies, political science, professional communication and psychology. All of Northeastern's online bachelor's degree programs are 120 credits in length, and designed to be completed with four years of full-time enrollment or seven years of part-time enrollment. Each degree follows a comprehensive curriculum consisting of one-credit labs and three-credit foundational, major-related and professional elective courses. The psychology degree program culminates in a senior research seminar. Most of the remaining programs culminate in a final project; human services majors must also complete an on-site practicum course, where they will receive supervised training from experienced professionals at a working human services facility. As of Fall 2016, all bachelor's programs at Northeastern follow a semester-based schedule.

Remember: You are the consumer. You are buying a service. If you don’t want to immediately schedule another appointment, that is just fine! If you feel you need to contemplate the experience before making another appointment, trust your gut and do so. You don’t have to purchase a car simply because you take it out for a test drive, and you don’t have to continue with a counselor just because you had a session with them.
Codes and information by machines were first conceptualized by Charles Babbage in the early 1800s. Babbage imagined that these codes would give him instructions for his Motor of Difference and Analytical Engine, machines that Babbage had designed to solve the problem of error in calculations. Between 1822 and 1823, Ada Lovelace, mathematics, wrote the first instructions for calculating numbers on Babbage engines. Lovelace's instructions are now believed to be the first computer program. Although the machines were designed to perform analysis tasks, Lovelace anticipated the possible social impact of computers and programming, writing. "For in the distribution and combination of truths and formulas of analysis, which may become easier and more quickly subjected to the mechanical combinations of the engine, the relationships and the nature of many subjects in which science necessarily relates in new subjects, and more deeply researched ... there are in all extensions of human power or additions to human knowledge, various collateral influences, in addition to the primary and primary object reached. "Other old machine readable media include instructions for pianolas and weaving machines.
